Black Atlantic is now offering polyurethane high density (HD) stringer construction from Millennium Foam for 2018!
Unlike traditional stringer boards that use a variety of wood, this blank uses a high density foam for the stringer. The HD construction gives the board a bit more of an over-all even flex without being “too flexy” like some of the new era epoxy stringerless boards feel. The high density foam gives a good balance for those who like the stiffness of a wood stringer, but want a more lively feeling board without over flexing.

Construction is the same on the HD stringer boards, however instead of the standard 4/4+4 lamination schedule that is typically used on shortboards, we instead do a 4oz bottom with a layer of 3.2oz double bias and 4oz for the deck. The finished product is a board that has a balanced linear flex, stays light weight, and has a lively performance feel in the water.
