In our continued mission to seek out new materials and push the boundaries of surfboard design. We began testing and using the integral-infused cloth back in 2019 with positive results in both rider feedback and board response.  Black Atlantic is now offering i² Tech – Innegra Infused Cloth on both our PU and standard high-density foam stringer and stringerless EPS core boards.

This cloth is a 4oz high clear fiberglass with offset gradient innegra tow infused into the weave. The offset pattern starts out tight through the center and tapers off as you reach to the rail. This setup gives added compression strength along the stringer (where you are mostly planting your foot) and helps control both nose to tail torsional flex as well as aid in dampening the chatter feel commonly felt in EPS core boards.  There are 2 centered carbon fiber tracers for an added aesthetic appearance.

We are excited to add this option into our PU and EPS board construction. At this time, Black Atlantic is currently the only label and manufacturer offering this cloth in Florida. While we are sure this wont last long, you can rest assured Black Atlantic Surfboards was at the forefront of putting it on our boards WELL BEFORE other board companies claimed it. You want it. We have it.
