[vc_custom_heading text=”Slim Daisy” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][vc_column_text]From what started as an and idea and experiment in design using the Fat Daisy V2 as a base model, the Slim Daisy quickly turned into a veritable rendition of a board that had to be immediately included into the model line for Black Atlantic.<\/p>\n

The FDV2 model has always been a performance board hidden in a groveler fish type outline. To help showcase that underlying performance, we kept most of all the bottom contours, but trimmed down the outline into a much slender performance package, thus turning the Fat Daisy into the Slim Daisy.<\/p>\n

Immediately in comparison, the Slim Daisy showcases a much more narrowed nose and pulled in tail.\u00a0 The paddle power still exists with plenty of foam being under your chest, but now with a sleeker outline, being able to fit the board into a tighter pocket and pivoting into turns are even easier.\u00a0 The tail still showcases a slight hip at the forward fins that helps quick direction change which flows into a soft stealth tail design for more bite and traction into turns. The rocker has been slightly altered in both the nose and tail to follow through the performance aspect of the design, but still remains moderately low for keeping speed and lift. Just as the FDV2 has, the Slim Daisy has softened vee belly starting early and blending in bellied double concave just forward and through the fins with still plenty vee exiting off the tail.\u00a0 The rails have been slightly groomed from full to more medium full.<\/p>\n

The Slim Daisy is set up as a 5 fin, so you can choose the best match according to wave conditions or your surfing style.<\/p>\n
